DeSpain Campaign Crushes Val Hoyle in Fundraising Across First Two Quarters, Exposing Weak Support for Incumbent

EUGENE, Oregon (April 16, 2026) – Monique DeSpain’s campaign for Congress today announced a commanding fundraising advantage over incumbent Val Hoyle, outraising her by a wide margin across the first two quarters of the race and signaling serious vulnerability for the sitting member of Congress.

Since entering the race, the DeSpain campaign has raised a combined $583,000 across Q4 and Q1, compared to just $354,000 raised by Hoyle over the same period.

The nearly $230,000 gap highlights a stark reality – voters are turning away from Hoyle’s failed leadership and coalescing behind DeSpain’s campaign for change.

“Val Hoyle has spent her time in Washington playing partisan games instead of delivering for the people of Oregon,” said DeSpain. “Oregonians are paying the price through higher costs, growing homelessness, and declining public safety. They are ready for something different, and this campaign is proving it.”

Despite holding office, Hoyle has failed to generate the level of grassroots support expected of an incumbent, a warning sign as voters grow increasingly frustrated with her record.

“An incumbent getting outraised like this is not just a bad quarter – it is a reflection of weak support and a lack of confidence from the very people she represents,” DeSpain added. “While she focuses on politics, we are building a campaign focused on results – securing our communities, strengthening our economy, and restoring accountability in government.”

The DeSpain campaign emphasized that its fundraising strength is being driven by Oregonians across the district who are eager to replace Hoyle with a leader who will show up, work with others, and deliver real results.

With momentum continuing to build, the campaign is expanding its outreach efforts and preparing to take its message directly to voters across Oregon’s Fourth Congressional District.
